The on-chain investigator cited repeated token calls, including a $150 HYPE target, followed by exchange deposits or exits involving HYPE, WLD, CARDS and ENA.
On-chain investigator Specter accused Arthur Hayes of publicly promoting several tokens and then selling them shortly afterward. Specter said Hayes described HYPE, ZEC and NEAR as a “Holy Trinity,” forecast HYPE would reach $150, and published a Substack post on HYPE before later selling all three tokens. The investigator also pointed to Hayes promoting WLD before saying “I’m out” three days later, backing CARDS with a $4 target before a linked wallet sent 1.9 million CARDS to an exchange the next day, and promoting ENA in 2024 before transferring $8.4 million of ENA to a CEX (centralized exchange) about an hour later. The claims center on whether public endorsements were followed by rapid disposal of the same assets, a pattern that can raise conflict-of-interest concerns in crypto markets where large holders can move sentiment and liquidity quickly.
