Tesla’s China-made electric vehicle sales climbed for an eighth consecutive month in June, with deliveries of Model 3 and Model Y vehicles from its Shanghai plant rising 24.4% year on year to 89,091 units. The gain, based on data from the China Passenger Car Association, followed a 39.4% increase in May. The June performance was supported by an extended recovery in the U.S. automaker’s European sales, underscoring the importance of Tesla’s Shanghai factory as both a production base for China and an export hub for Europe.
