Ondo says it has completed the first live onchain deployment of third-party tokenized U.S. securities within the existing U.S. regulatory framework, including BlackRock’s IVV and Micron shares.
Ondo Finance said on July 2 that it launched and completed the first live onchain deployment of what it described as third-party-operated, custodied tokenized U.S. securities within the existing U.S. regulatory framework, bringing BlackRock’s iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) and Micron Technology shares (MU) on-chain on Ethereum. Tokens are minted 1:1 against underlying shares held in the traditional U.S. custody system, with SEC-registered transfer agent Oasis Pro TA handling issuance and Broadridge providing shareholder rights and on-chain voting through ProxyVote.com. The step marks a live implementation of Ondo’s structure for representing traditional securities on blockchain rails while keeping custody and transfer functions tied to established U.S. market infrastructure.
