The transfer error happened when the holder copied the token’s contract address instead of the intended destination, according to blockchain tracker Lookonchain.
A user lost 1.34 million ANSEM valued at $226,000 after mistakenly sending the tokens to the ANSEM token contract address rather than the intended wallet destination. Lookonchain, a blockchain tracking service, said the error occurred during a transfer when the user copied the contract address instead of the recipient address. Tokens sent to a contract address in this way are typically unrecoverable unless the contract includes a mechanism to retrieve them.
