CASI wraps Casablanca forum and signs three MoUs to advance African green finance

The two-day event drew about 250 participants from 39 jurisdictions and launched French-language CASI Academy courses for francophone audiences across the region.

Summary

CASI concluded a two-day sustainability forum in Casablanca with BANK OF AFRICA as partner and Casablanca Finance City Authority as supporter, bringing together about 250 participants from 39 jurisdictions in person and online. The meeting focused on four areas central to climate-focused capital flows: carbon markets, transition finance, adaptation and resilience funding, and sustainability disclosure. During the event, CASI formalised three Memorandums of Understanding with BANK OF AFRICA, The ESG Exchange, and CFCA, including an agreement signed by Said Ibrahimi, CEO of CFCA, and Dr. Ma Jun to create a strategic framework aimed at accelerating green finance across Africa. The partnerships are intended to support joint training, professional certification, research, and cross-border knowledge exchange. The forum also launched French-language courses on CASI Academy, expanding access for francophone users. In closing remarks, Dr. Ma Jun said AI-powered tools could help lower disclosure costs for SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), and organisers invited participants to the next CASI Sustainability Forum in Hong Kong in September 2026 during Green Week.
