In July 4 remarks, Le linked Bitcoin’s fixed supply, transparent rules and proof-of-work system to monetary freedom, while tying that view to his family’s 1978 escape from Vietnam and resettlement in the U.S.
Strategy CEO Phong Le said Bitcoin is both an “expression of freedom” and a rules-based monetary system built on transparent rules rather than individual discretion. In July 4 social media remarks, he compared Bitcoin to “the America of money,” arguing that its fixed supply, proof-of-work design and transparent rule set make it a form of digital capital governed by code, energy and consensus. Le tied that view to his family’s experience leaving Vietnam as refugees in 1978 and arriving in the U.S. with support from a Catholic church in Syracuse, New York. He said the U.S. Constitution and Bitcoin are products of the same principles, framing both as systems designed around rules, openness and protection against arbitrary power. Le argued that Bitcoin can offer monetary freedom and protection for savers and people living under unstable systems.
