Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit and Gopax recorded 49 net new token listings in the first half, down from 191 a year earlier, as new listings slowed and delistings accelerated.
Net new token listings at South Korea’s five major crypto exchanges fell sharply in the first half as platforms became more selective about tradable assets. EToday said Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit and Gopax recorded 49 net new listings, down about 74% from 191 a year earlier. New listings declined 44% year over year to 117, while terminated listings rose 258% to 68, indicating a shift away from aggressive expansion toward tighter liquidity management, token review and regulatory compliance. Trading volume also fell 34% from a year earlier to $46.07 billion.
