Luxembourg’s CSSF granted Ripple full CASP authorization under MiCA, pairing with its EMI license to support regulated crypto and stablecoin payment services across the European Economic Area.
Ripple said Luxembourg’s Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier has granted it full authorization as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, allowing the company to offer regulated crypto-asset services across all 30 European Economic Area countries through MiCA passporting. The approval follows preliminary clearance in Luxembourg and, together with Ripple’s EMI license, supports crypto-asset and stablecoin payment infrastructure for financial institutions, corporates and businesses. Ripple said the license makes its regulated crypto payments product available across the region and adds to its portfolio of more than 75 regulatory licenses. The update comes just after MiCA’s transition period ended on July 1, a deadline that has split Europe’s market between firms holding CASP authorization and those facing service restrictions. Ripple said the authorization does not change XRP holder rights, but it strengthens the company’s position as banks and companies assess compliant digital-asset payment providers.
