HYPE’s rally lifted one whale long from an earlier drawdown to reported multimillion-dollar unrealized gains, while broader Hyperliquid activity included large HYPE, tokenized-equity and Bitcoin longs and shorts.
HYPE climbed back above $72 on July 6 as Hyperliquid open interest topped $1.59 billion and 24-hour volume reached $250 million, according to Hyperinsight. Against that backdrop, whale activity on the platform broadened across both bullish and bearish leveraged trades. Onchain Lens previously reported that one whale deposited $2 million USDC in March, expanded a 10x HYPE long from 210,000 to 493,000 HYPE, and swung from a roughly $459,000 floating loss to about $15.69 million in unrealized profit, a reported 445.36% return. Separate reports also cited a larger 5x HYPE long on 1.38 million tokens with unrealized profit at $46 million, alongside a 3x HYPE short, tokenized SK Hynix and Micron positions, and large Bitcoin longs.
