Edelson Lechtzin LLP says U.S. consumers who bought Gucci and other Kering brands during the tariff period may be entitled to refunds after the Supreme Court invalidated IEEPA tariffs on February 20, 2026.
Edelson Lechtzin LLP said it is investigating potential class action claims against Kering S.A. over whether the luxury group raised U.S. retail prices on brands including Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Creed, and Maui Jim to offset Trump administration tariffs, then failed to refund customers after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled those tariffs unlawful on February 20, 2026. The firm argues the issue is whether Kering could keep higher prices collected from shoppers while also seeking refunds of tariff payments from the federal government, creating what it describes as a potential double recovery. The release says consumers in the United States who bought affected products during the tariff period may be entitled to refunds, but it also states that no class action lawsuit has been filed and no court has determined that Kering engaged in wrongdoing.
