Acumen to present three Alzheimer’s studies at AAIC 2026, including brain-delivery and patient-perspective data

Acumen Pharmaceuticals said it will present three studies at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2026 in London on July 12-15, including preclinical data from its collaboration with JCR Pharmaceuticals and patient-perspective research from its ongoing Phase 2 ALTITUDE-AD trial. The presentations comprise one oral session on bispecific antibodies that bind amyloid beta oligomers and transferrin receptors to enhance brain delivery in cynomolgus monkeys, and two posters covering transferrin receptor-mediated transport for anti-amyloid beta oligomer antibodies and findings on early symptomatic Alzheimer’s disease from the ALTITUDE-AD trial population. Acumen said the work reflects progress in using Enhanced Brain Delivery technology to improve drug delivery across the blood-brain barrier and broaden understanding of early Alzheimer’s disease through the patient lens. The JCR collaboration, announced in July 2025, combines Acumen’s amyloid beta oligomer-selective antibody expertise with JCR’s J-Brain Cargo technology. Acumen’s lead candidate, sabirnetug (ACU193), has Fast Track designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for early Alzheimer’s disease and is being evaluated in the 542-patient ALTITUDE-AD study, with topline results expected in late 2026.
