HCLTech said it has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for its Enterprise Artificial Intelligence Management System, marking external validation of its framework for governing AI development, deployment and oversight at scale. The certification, issued by Schellman Compliance, LLC, covers AI lifecycle processes supporting AI-enabled services and platforms including HCLTech’s AI Force platform, software engineering, IT operations and business process services. The company said the standard strengthens its ability to help enterprises adopt AI with governance, risk management and operational discipline across systems, functions and geographies, while aligning with evolving requirements including the EU AI Act. ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is described as the first international standard for AI management systems, setting a framework around risk management, transparency, fairness, accountability and continuous improvement.
