The collaboration with Lava Foundation and Bretagne Holding Limited uses Alba Bay in the Dominican Republic as a live reference environment for tokenized real estate, payments and settlement models.
AEREDIUM said it has joined the Lava Tokenization Sandbox alongside Lava Foundation and Bretagne Holding Limited to explore infrastructure for tokenized real-world assets, with Alba Bay in the Dominican Republic serving as a real-world reference environment. The initiative is centered on one of the main bottlenecks in RWA tokenization (putting real-world assets onchain): how investors pay for tokenized assets and how developers receive secure, compliant settlement without handling fragmented digital asset treasuries. Within the sandbox, AEREDIUM is testing payment-agnostic settlement infrastructure that would let future buyers use bank transfers, payment cards, stablecoins or digital assets across multiple blockchain networks, while converting those payments through atomic settlement (simultaneous exchange that reduces counterparty risk) into the asset a developer wants to receive. The company said the model is intended to deliver a single auditable transaction across blockchain networks, banking systems and enterprise platforms. The partners framed the effort as an exploratory step toward institutional-scale RWA adoption, arguing that the next phase of tokenization depends less on issuing tokens and more on building the underlying payments, settlement and verification rails. The collaboration is not launching a public offering, sale of securities, token issuance or formal tokenization structure, and is intended only to evaluate potential future infrastructure models and technological interoperability.
