IAA MOBILITY 2027 opens registration with 53% of 2025 space already reserved

More than 100 rebookers have pre-registered over a year before the September 7–12, 2027 event, as VDA cites strong exhibitor demand and a partnership with Messe München extended until 2031.

Summary

IAA MOBILITY 2027 has opened registration with record early demand, as more than 100 companies have already pre-registered as rebookers and 53 percent of the total space used at IAA 2025 has been reserved more than a year before the event. The show is scheduled for September 7–12, 2027, and organizers said the early bookings span both the downtown format and the exhibition center, reinforcing the event’s hybrid setup. VDA Managing Director Jürgen Mindel said the volume of returning exhibitors shows the concept is working and supports IAA MOBILITY’s ambition to expand its role as a global platform for mobility, sustainability and technology. Pre-registered companies include major automotive, supplier and technology groups such as AUDI, BMW, CATL, Ford, Google, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, SAP, VW, XPENG and ZF. Organizers also pointed to stronger exhibitor sentiment in 2025, with 83 percent saying they would definitely or likely recommend participation, up from 72 percent in 2023, while 96 percent rated their experience positively. IAA MOBILITY 2025 drew 750 exhibitors from 37 countries, featured more than 350 world premieres and product launches, and had an exhibitor base that was 57 percent international. The event is also set to remain in Munich until at least 2031 after the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) and Messe München extended their partnership.
