The deal combines two major insurance investigations businesses, creating what the companies say is the largest insurance investigations firm in the United States with broader technology, coverage and international reach.
Command Investigations said it acquired the insurance division of CoventBridge, a transaction the companies say creates the largest insurance investigations firm in the United States. The combination brings together Command’s national investigative network and CoventBridge’s insurance business, which was formed in 2016, serves more than 200 top-tier insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insureds, and uses proprietary in-house case management technology. Command said the enlarged business will pair that infrastructure with CommandX, its dedicated non-billable quality unit, to offer broader investigator coverage, faster case handling and more specialized support for claims operations in a fragmented market. The deal also adds international investigator reach across the United Kingdom and select global markets. Seth Markham, president and CEO of Command Investigations, will lead CoventBridge’s insurance division within the combined organization, while Doug Merriman will remain chief executive officer of CoventBridge’s remaining divisions, which will operate as CoventBridge Integrity Systems. Command said it will temporarily use the CoventBridge Insurance Investigations name to support the transition before moving fully to the Command brand. Brown Gibbons Lang & Company initiated the transaction and served as exclusive financial advisor to CoventBridge.
