Fiat said the two-seat EV will initially be used in private communities, resorts and golf courses, with an upgrade kit later enabling low-speed public-road access.
Fiat has launched U.S. sales of the two-seat, fully electric Topolino starting at $13,995, broadening its North American lineup beyond the 500e. The compact EV offers a range of up to 46 miles and will initially be aimed at private communities, resorts and golf courses, with a top speed of 19 mph. From late summer, owners will be able to install a kit that upgrades the vehicle to a federally regulated Low-Speed Vehicle, raising its top speed to 25 mph and allowing access to certain public roads. Fiat said the Topolino, first launched in Europe in 2023, revives the name of its popular 1930s model and uses a 5.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that can be fully charged in about five hours.
