
The entertainment-focused IP platform on Coinbase’s layer 2 said the funding will support development, ecosystem growth and partner integrations as it builds infrastructure for verifying, routing and settling creative assets onchain.
KOR Protocol has raised $7.5 million in a Series A round at a $100 million valuation, with backing from 1kx and Blockchain Capital. The company said the funding will be used for platform development, ecosystem growth and partner integrations as it expands onchain infrastructure for creative assets. Built on Coinbase’s layer 2, KOR provides verification, routing and settlement infrastructure for music, film and other creative works. It positions itself as a clearinghouse for creative assets, helping creators and rights holders manage intellectual property, distribution and monetization more efficiently while using USDC to automate licensing payouts. The company has previously said it plans to issue its own token. Since launch, KOR said it has surpassed 1 million lifetime sign-ups, 400,000 connected wallets, 1,000-plus IP partners and more than $2 million in gross revenue. Current IP partners include Black Mirror, Beatport, mau5trap, Imogen Heap, Banijay Group and KDDI.
