SBI Securities and Daiwa Securities are weighing a 2027 start for digital securities trading after a five-firm proof of concept showed how cross-border transactions could work using ibet for Fin for domestic management and Ethereum with USDC for overseas interdealer trades, with participants saying the setup confirmed delivery-versus-payment settlement feasibility. Separately, SBI Group’s DeFimans and PerplexityAI, Inc. said on the 9th they signed a memorandum of understanding with ANDLAWFZCO, Nippon Steel Solutions, and SMBC Nikko Securities to run a proof of concept for a next-generation digital-asset execution platform spanning traditional financial markets and on-chain and off-chain venues, as the tokenized real-world asset market grows beyond $30 billion.
