Ukey Limited unveiled the Seed Ring on July 10, 2026, positioning it as the first product in its Seed backup line and a wearable approach to crypto self-custody. The Hong Kong-based brand said the battery-free NFC (near-field communication, short-range wireless tap technology) ring is designed to pair with an NFC-capable phone and be worn daily rather than stored away like a conventional hardware wallet accessory. UKey said the device does not store the full seed phrase in plaintext, holding only index, order, and checksum data needed for recovery. The company framed the product around a common self-custody weakness: storing a seed phrase (wallet recovery words) insecurely on paper, in photos, or in screenshots. It said more Seed-series products are coming, including the Seed Card and Seed Ti, while availability details for the Seed Ring and the broader lineup will be announced later.
