Australian enterprises seek local cybersecurity partners as AI and regulatory risks grow

ISG’s 2026 Australia cybersecurity report says buyers want locally delivered, practical AI security support, stronger regulatory readiness and integrated services as spending rises across critical sectors.

Summary

Australian enterprises are reshaping cybersecurity strategies around integrated, locally delivered services as regulatory demands tighten and AI-related risks expand, according to ISG’s 2026 Provider Lens Cybersecurity — Services and Solutions report for Australia. The report says organizations increasingly want partners that understand Australia’s operating environment, connect strategic planning with day-to-day security operations and support practical AI-enabled security use cases such as threat detection, prioritization and case management. ISG says companies are also strengthening controls around generative AI and agentic AI, while higher spending in critical infrastructure, financial services, healthcare, telecommunications and government is boosting demand for incident response, recovery planning and third-party risk management. ISG evaluated 36 providers across Strategic Security Services, Technical Security Services and Next-Gen SOC/MDR Services, naming Accenture, Deloitte, DXC Technology, EY, Fujitsu, HCLTech, IBM, NTT DATA, TCS, Thales and Wipro as Leaders in all three quadrants.
