Investors including Tencent, ZhenFund and Sequoia China are discussing a deal valuing the AI agent company at $2 billion and unwinding Meta’s acquisition.
Tencent is in talks to become the largest shareholder in AI agent company Manus, as existing investors discuss a transaction that would undo Meta’s acquisition of the startup. The proposed deal is being discussed at a $2 billion valuation and includes current backers such as Tencent, ZhenFund and Sequoia China. The reported structure suggests investors are seeking to re-establish Manus as a more independently held company rather than fold it into Meta.
