Hanwha Life Esports’ MSI 2026 victory over Bilibili Gaming completed Choi Woo-je’s set of Riot international trophies and underscored the commercial heft behind top-tier esports.
Choi “Zeus” Woo-je became the first player to win every major Riot Games international League of Legends tournament after Hanwha Life Esports beat Bilibili Gaming at MSI 2026 in early July. The 22-year-old South Korean top laner now holds World Championship titles from 2023 and 2024 with T1, the First Stand title from 2025, and the MSI 2026 crown with Hanwha Life Esports. He was also named Finals MVP at both the 2023 World Championship and MSI 2026. The latest title also puts Zeus alongside teammate Zeka as the first players to have First Stand, MSI and Worlds titles in their career histories. Beyond Riot’s own events, Zeus also won the 2024 Esports World Cup and claimed a gold medal for South Korea at the 2022 Asian Games, while adding three LCK Top Laner of the Year awards before turning 23. His move from T1 to Hanwha Life Esports adds commercial significance to the result because he not only maintained his standing after leaving one of the most storied organizations in League of Legends, but helped deliver an MSI title to a team backed by Hanwha Life Insurance. The finals matchup between South Korea’s Hanwha Life Esports and China’s Bilibili Gaming also reinforced the Korea-China rivalry that continues to define the top end of competitive League of Legends.
