
The Iranian parliament speaker said counterparts should face reality and highlighted a memorandum provision on restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz if Iran’s arrangements are observed.
Iranian parliament speaker Qalibaf said the era of unilateral agreements has ended and urged the other side to face reality after Tehran had previously demanded that relevant parties fulfill their commitments and obligations or pay a price. He also highlighted part of the fifth clause in an earlier set of 14 memorandums of understanding, which stresses restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil shipping chokepoint, provided arrangements set by Iran are respected.
