Summary

President Donald Trump reported more than $1.4 billion in income from family crypto ventures, with World Liberty Financial and the TRUMP meme coin among the largest disclosed sources, while his stock and bond holdings rose to between $703 million and $2.6 billion at the end of 2025 from between $225 million and $608 million a year earlier. Reuters’ review of the filings said the increase in traditional securities suggested that much of the crypto proceeds were parked in stocks and bonds rather than retained as digital assets. Trump still held 15.75 billion WLFI governance tokens worth more than $50 million, and his companies held at least $160 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum at the end of 2025, up sharply from the $1 million to $5 million in ether he reported at the end of 2024. The White House said his assets are held in fully discretionary accounts managed by independent third-party institutions, meaning the disclosures do not necessarily show that Trump personally directed those investment decisions. The updated disclosures reinforce the contrast between Trump’s public support for digital assets and the composition of his wealth. Timothy Massad, a former chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, said the filings point to a strategy of monetizing crypto ventures while reinvesting gains into traditional financial assets. The disclosures have also intensified political scrutiny, as Senator Kirsten Gillibrand renewed her push to bar the President, lawmakers and their spouses from issuing meme coins, while critics including Peter Schiff said such tokens could function as legal bribes. BeInCrypto reported that nearly 1 million holders of Official Trump were sitting on $3.81 billion in combined losses.
