A startup in the world model field founded by Tian Keyu has reportedly secured funding worth tens of millions of U.S. dollars at a valuation of about $200 million, according to people familiar with the matter. The same person was identified in the report as a former ByteDance intern who was allegedly dismissed earlier over an attack on the company’s large-model training tasks. The venture was incubated and funded by Wuyuan Capital partner Meng Xing. World models generally refer to AI systems designed to simulate or predict aspects of real or virtual environments, making them a closely watched area in next-generation artificial intelligence research and commercialization.
