The Tokyo-based group's new products target financial institutions moving into onchain finance and consumers seeking to spend Soneium-based assets while retaining yield until payment.
Startale Group unveiled two products at WebX 2026: Startale Onchain Finance Kits, or OFK, for financial institutions and enterprises, and Startale Card, a self-custodial Visa card for consumers. The company said the launches are part of a broader strategy to build infrastructure for the onchain economy as institutions move from blockchain pilots to production use and consumers look for more practical ways to use digital assets. Startale OFK is designed to help organizations in markets including Japan and the United States move from traditional finance into onchain finance without building core systems from scratch. The framework covers stablecoin infrastructure, wallet infrastructure, digital asset tools, privacy infrastructure, developer infrastructure, and blockchain and settlement infrastructure, with plans to add tokenization infrastructure and Custody Wallet API tools. Startale Card extends the Startale App and is built on Soneium, an Ethereum Layer 2 (scaling network built atop Ethereum) developed with Sony Group. The card links onchain balances to spending at more than 150 million merchants worldwide where Visa is accepted. Startale said eligible assets can keep generating yield until they are used for payment, and users will receive cashback in USDSC. The Startale Card waitlist is now live in the Startale App ahead of a public launch.
