The recognition highlights SAS' push to offer cloud-native data and AI tools, partner-led implementation and simplified adoption for midsize organizations.
SAS said it has been named to the 2026 MES Midmarket 100 list by MES Computing, a brand of The Channel Company, marking recognition for its midmarket-focused data and AI offerings. The annual list honors technology vendors serving the IT needs of midsize organizations, which MES Computing defines as companies with $50 million to $2 billion in annual revenue and/or 100 to 2,500 supported users or seats. SAS said its cloud-native SAS Viya platform is designed to help midmarket customers scale data and AI projects without heavy infrastructure, addressing issues such as data fragmentation, manual reporting, limited resources and operational risk. The company said its approach includes proven industry use cases, cloud and services partnerships, and simplified packaging intended to create a more straightforward adoption path. John Carey, Senior Vice President of Global Channels at SAS, said the company is aiming to make AI more accessible for growing organizations through affordability, flexibility and partner-led implementation. SAS also linked the recognition to new IDC research it commissioned showing that nearly 70% of small and midsized businesses remain in the early stages of AI maturity despite mounting pressure to adopt the technology.
