Custom Market Insights said its latest report values the global blood glucose monitoring system market at about $16.8 billion in 2025, rising to $18.3 billion in 2026 and around $39.4 billion by 2035, implying a compound annual growth rate of roughly 8.9% over the 2026-2035 forecast period. The firm said demand is being supported by wider adoption of continuous glucose monitoring systems, growing use of AI-enabled glucose-monitoring tools, and the expansion of home healthcare, where portable and connected devices can support remote monitoring and telehealth-based disease management. The report highlighted Roche’s November 2025 rollout of its Accu-Chek SmartGuide continuous glucose monitoring solution in the Middle East, starting from Kuwait, Qatar, KSA and other markets, with the UAE set to follow in the near future, and said the product offers AI-enabled predictions for people with diabetes aged 18 and older. North America held the largest market share in 2025, the firm said, supported by dominant industry stakeholders, product innovation and government subsidies, while Asia Pacific is expected to capture a significant revenue share, driven by population aging and product launches. Custom Market Insights also pointed to an August 2024 partnership between Abbott and Medtronic to develop an integrated continuous glucose monitoring system linking Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre technology with Medtronic’s automated insulin delivery and smart insulin pen systems.
