The Xerox Holdings Corporation former CEO joins Galaxy’s board and Audit Committee as the company expands its Helios campus from Bitcoin mining into AI and data center infrastructure.
Galaxy Digital Inc. said Steven Bandrowczak has joined its Board of Directors as an Independent Director, effective immediately, and will also serve on the board’s Audit Committee. The appointment brings more than three decades of technology and operating experience as Galaxy expands beyond digital assets and scales data center infrastructure tied to artificial intelligence. Bandrowczak served as Chief Executive Officer of Xerox Holdings Corporation from August 2022 until March 2026, after joining Xerox in 2018 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Galaxy said his background in IT, data infrastructure, logistics, enterprise transformation, public-company governance, M&A and capital allocation is relevant as it builds out its Helios campus in West Texas. Helios, which began as a Bitcoin mining facility, is being developed into an AI and high-performance computing data center hub with more than 1.6 gigawatts of approved power capacity. Galaxy said Phase I reached a milestone in early July 2026 by delivering 133 megawatts of energy to CoreWeave under a 15-year lease agreement. The broader campus carries a projected investment of more than $15 billion, supported by a $1.4 billion project financing facility secured in August 2025 and an additional $460 million in equity raised for the expansion. Founder and CEO Mike Novogratz said Bandrowczak’s operating range, capital discipline and technology expertise would strengthen the board. Chair Michael Daffey said his governance background and operating discipline would help the company oversee growth and manage risk as it scales. Galaxy, which trades on Nasdaq under the ticker GLXY, said the appointment comes as it continues to grow both its digital-asset platform and its data center business.
