The Shenzhen humanoid robot startup completed a new pre-IPO round at a 15 billion yuan valuation, bringing fundraising over the past six months to $400 million and earmarking capital for Luna, R&D and overseas growth.
LimX Dynamics completed a nearly $200 million pre-IPO financing round at a post-money valuation of 15 billion yuan ($2.21 billion), extending a fundraising push that has brought in $400 million over the past six months as the Shenzhen humanoid robot company advances toward an IPO. The round included IDG Capital, Lens Technology, GGG Group, Redstone VC, Huashan Capital and Hefei Binhu, with the company saying overseas capital accounted for nearly 70%. The latest raise follows a separate $200 million Series B financing in February 2026. Founded in January 2022 by Wei Zhang and Li Zhang, a former COO at autonomous driving firm WeRide, LimX builds humanoid robots including its Luna and Oli models and a TRON series. It also launched its COSA agentic operating system in 2026 to coordinate motion-control technologies across its humanoid platforms, and develops embodied manipulation algorithms. LimX said the fresh capital will be used for core research and development, commercialization of LimX Luna and overseas expansion as it continues its push toward a public listing. Co-founder Wei Zhang previously said, “Listing is a must.”
