The eight-week program reported gains in product maturity and investment readiness as founders built tokenization, payments and donation-tracking projects on the XRP Ledger.
Ripple has brought its University Digital Asset Xcelerator, or UDAX, to Brazil for the first time through a partnership between Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative and Fundação Getulio Vargas. The eight-week accelerator backed nine startups building on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), pairing founders with technical resources, one-on-one mentoring, academic support and investor connections. The cohort reported an average 83% increase in product maturity, a 53% rise in investment readiness, a 33% gain in founders’ confidence in their business models and 15% growth in active users or paying customers. Ripple said the program is designed to connect academic research with commercial blockchain use cases, and the Demo Day at FGV drew around 100 participants from the startup, investment and academic communities. Projects in the cohort ranged from tokenized receivables, bonds, gold and microcredit to cross-border settlement, institutional stablecoin infrastructure and donation traceability. Several startups reported concrete operating milestones, including Levery’s 44,000-plus onchain transactions and TrustBond’s seven active pilot projects. The initiative positions UDAX as part of Ripple’s broader effort to deepen blockchain development through university partnerships and expand Brazil’s digital asset ecosystem.
