Kanadevia Corporation said it has signed a partnership agreement with Bahwan Engineering Company LLC to create a cooperation framework for green hydrogen and other low-carbon fuel projects in Oman. The arrangement covers the full project cycle, from bid preparation to engineering, procurement, manufacturing and commercialization, and is aimed at green hydrogen and e-methane projects in the sultanate. Kanadevia said the tie-up combines its water electrolysis cell technology with BEC’s local engineering, construction and customer network to improve offerings in Oman’s growing low-carbon fuels market. The company also highlighted its broader hydrogen push, including construction of a mass-production plant for water electrolysis cells in Tsuru, Yamanashi Prefecture, and an investment in a hydrogen-focused fund. In Oman, it said it is already involved in methanation projects and has signed a contract with Oman LNG LLC for technical verification and engineering work tied to development of one of the world’s largest commercial methanation plants, which would convert captured CO2 into e-methane using green hydrogen.
