The oral presentation at the 2026 Kidney Cancer Research Summit will cover long-term follow-up in heavily pretreated, cabozantinib-naïve refractory RCC patients, while a randomized Phase 1b study remains underway in the U.S. and E.U.
Kura Oncology said updated Phase 1a results from the ongoing FIT-001 Phase 1a/1b trial of darlifarnib plus cabozantinib in advanced renal cell carcinoma will be presented in an oral session at the 2026 Kidney Cancer Research Summit in Boston on July 24, 2026. The company said the presentation will focus on long-term follow-up in heavily pretreated, cabozantinib-naïve patients with refractory RCC and is expected to further support darlifarnib’s potential as a combination agent with VEGFR-targeted therapies. Kura is also enrolling patients in the U.S. and E.U. in a randomized Phase 1b dose-optimization study comparing darlifarnib plus cabozantinib versus cabozantinib alone in cabozantinib-naïve, refractory, advanced clear cell RCC, with the trial intended to help select a recommended Phase 3 dose for a registrational study planned for 2028. The company said the data add to prior FIT-001 RCC results presented at ESMO 2025 and findings in cabozantinib-exposed ccRCC patients presented at 2026 IKCS: Europe. Kura also said the results continue to support darlifarnib as a precision combination agent across multiple targeted therapy classes through inhibition of adaptive mTORC1 signaling (cell-growth pathway signaling).
