Summary

Backpack on July 16 launched a stock screener covering roughly 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs on its Solana-based tokenized equities platform, extending a rapid product push by Backpack Securities, the brokerage arm behind the service. The screener offers preset screens, custom filters using fundamental and technical data, and a side-by-side comparison view for multiple tickers. The release came after Backpack added four SEC filing- and event-based research features between July 14 and 15: a 13F institutional filing viewer, Popular Portfolios, an Earnings Calendar and insider transaction data from Form 4 filings in the SEC’s EDGAR system. Together, the tools let users screen for stocks, review institutional holdings, monitor earnings and macro events, track insider buying and selling, and trade without leaving the exchange interface. Backpack says the platform’s tokenized shares are real security entitlements rather than synthetic products or CFDs, with stablecoin-funded settlement, unified portfolio margin across stocks and crypto, and the ability for holders to redeem positions for underlying shares and transfer them through ACATS. The platform remains in public beta, is currently web-only, and plans to expand to the full U.S. equity market after beta ends.
