VisualLogix acquires refyne Group to expand engineering software platform in Europe

VisualLogix said it has acquired refyne Group, a move that expands its engineering software platform, strengthens its mission-critical product lineup, and broadens its footprint across Europe. The acquisition adds refyne's software suite for wood and metal fabricators in the DACH region, including integrated CAD, CAM, thermal analysis and ERP (enterprise resource planning) tools used across the design-to-production workflow. VisualLogix said the combined portfolio now spans products including AutoSPRINK, AlarmCAD and Metal Building Software, alongside refyne's Athena, Apollon, TrunCAD, nCAD, flixo and Triviso. The company said refyne's products are deeply embedded in customer workflows throughout the DACH region and are backed by a team with decades of expertise in engineering, thermal analysis, manufacturing and fabrication software. Chief Executive Officer Brett Zane said the companies share a focus on mission-critical software, long-term customer commitment and industry expertise. He added that VisualLogix is developing a common AI foundation intended to enhance every product in its portfolio and help engineers and fabricators automate complex workflows, improve productivity and increase precision in design and manufacturing. Dr. Stefan Gutberlet, CEO refyne Group, said the combination should accelerate innovation, expand capabilities and create more value for customers in Europe and globally. VisualLogix said customers of both companies will continue receiving the same level of support and product continuity while gaining access to greater investment, broader technical resources and an expanded software portfolio.
