Leica Biosystems agrees to acquire StatLab Medical Products by end of 2026

Leica Biosystems, an operating company of Danaher, said it has signed a definitive agreement to buy privately held StatLab Medical Products from Linden Capital Partners and Audax Private Equity. The companies said StatLab would become part of Leica Biosystems after closing, which is expected by the end of 2026, subject to customary conditions including applicable regulatory clearances. Financial terms were not disclosed. StatLab has supplied anatomic pathology laboratories for more than 50 years with products spanning the pre-analytical and analytical histology workflow, including specimen collection, tissue processing, slide preparation and staining. Leica Biosystems said the combination would strengthen its pathology, computational pathology and AI-enabled diagnostics capabilities as laboratories seek greater consistency, standardization and quality to scale AI-enabled cancer diagnostics.
