The move replaces the Orderly-based Falkor setup on Polygon PoS and makes Orbs’ Layer-3 perps stack the default across all chains where the DEX operates.
QuickSwap has made Orbs’ Perpetual Hub Ultra 2.0 the default engine for perpetual futures trading across every chain it operates on after QUICK token holders approved the change with 81.8% support in a community vote titled “Full Shift of Decentralized Perpetuals to Orbs Network.” The change retires the Orderly-based Falkor setup on Polygon PoS and extends the Orbs-powered model that QuickSwap had already introduced on Base in the fourth quarter of 2025. The integration gives QuickSwap a native perpetuals stack covering execution, settlement, hedging, liquidation, pricing and the trading interface through Orbs’ Layer-3 infrastructure. Orbs says liquidity is available from day one through an integrated system that draws from several deep liquidity sources, avoiding reliance on a single pool. The setup uses a TEE-secured execution environment (hardware-isolated secure computing), cryptographically signed price feeds and rollup settlement (batching transactions for on-chain finalization) to balance speed with verifiable on-chain records. Users can access market, limit, stop-loss, take-profit and bracket orders, alongside one-click trading, account abstraction (wallet functions simplified in-app) and gasless transactions. Ran Hammer, VP of Business Development at Orbs, said the launch shows “what the next phase of DeFi looks like” and argued the vote indicates decentralized markets are increasingly prepared to compete with traditional finance while preserving self-custody and transparency. QuickSwap, active since 2020, is described as the top exchange in the Polygon ecosystem and has expanded from Polygon PoS to Polygon zkEVM and Base. The companies have already worked together on dTWAP, dLIMIT and Liquidity Hub across Polygon PoS and Base. Orbs operates a decentralized Layer-3 network for more complex trading logic, with a validator network running on delegated Proof-of-Stake (token holders back validators) and more than 1.12 billion ORBS tokens staked.
