Law firms said Commvault investors face a July 17, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline as securities suits allege the company misled investors about competition, sales mix and recurring-revenue growth before a January 2026 stock drop.
Hagens Berman said an amended securities class action against Commvault Systems, Inc. expanded the alleged class period to January 28, 2025 through January 26, 2026, from an earlier April 29, 2025 start date cited in related filings and announcements. The suits, including City of Fort Lauderdale Police and Firefighters' Retirement System v. Commvault Systems, Inc., et al. and Imbert v. Commvault Systems, Inc., allege Commvault and certain current and former executives misled investors about its competitive position, pricing pressure, contract terms, sales mix and the effect of sale type on ARR and NNARR. According to the complaints and law-firm releases, Commvault reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 net new ARR or NNARR of $39 million on January 27, 2026, versus roughly $45 million expected or previously guided, and the shares fell about 31% that day. Investors seeking lead-plaintiff status have until July 17, 2026, the firms said.
