A $27.6 million Zcash long on HyperliquidX by Laurent Zeimes was cited as a major factor behind the token’s latest surge, underscoring how large individual bets can move thinner crypto markets.
ZEC rose about 11.1% over 24 hours, extending a monthly gain previously cited at roughly 37.8% from $401.42 to $553.10, as a large long position on HyperliquidX added momentum to the move. Laurent Zeimes took a $27.6 million long position in Zcash on the platform, and the trade was described as a significant factor in the token’s advance. Earlier reporting had highlighted a separate Hyperliquid position by trader Loracle (0x8de), a 10x full-position long of 49,563.75 ZEC with a notional value of about $27.414 million, an average entry of $362.28 and floating profit of about $9.458 million. Together, the activity points to strong concentrated interest in ZEC and illustrates how large individual investors can influence price action in specific crypto assets.
