Operational EBIT rose to about EUR 231 million as the salmon farmer exceeded its 140k GWT Q2 guidance and cut blended farming costs.
Mowi harvested 150.0 thousand tonnes in Q2 2026, up from 133 thousand tonnes in Q2 2025 and marking a record-high second quarter volume, equivalent to 13% growth. The result also came in above the 140k GWT (gutted weight equivalents) total harvest volume guidance the company gave alongside its Q1 2026 results. Operational EBIT reached approximately EUR 231 million in Q2 2026, compared with EUR 189 million a year earlier, for 23% year-on-year growth. Blended farming cost fell to EUR/kg 5.21 from EUR/kg 5.39, a reduction of EUR/kg 0.18, or EUR 24 million. Reported net interest-bearing debt, or NIBD (debt measure excluding some non-interest liabilities), stood at about EUR 2 807 million at quarter-end, excluding IFRS 16 effects.
