Human Pharma growth was led by JARDIANCE and recent launches JASCAYD and HERNEXEOS, while positive Phase III data for survodutide supported the company’s longer-term pipeline outlook.
Boehringer Ingelheim reported continued first-half 2026 sales growth as stronger U.S. demand for JARDIANCE and new product launches lifted results. Group net sales rose 16.2% to EUR 15.8 billion, including EUR 13.1 billion from Human Pharma and EUR 2.6 billion from Animal Health. Human Pharma sales increased 20.1% to EUR 13.1 billion, with JARDIANCE generating EUR 5.7 billion as a larger patient base and changes in the U.S. pricing and reimbursement environment drove significant volume growth. The company said that without the JARDIANCE volume effect, Human Pharma growth in the first six months would have been in line with the overall pharma market. Uptake of JASCAYD for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and progressive pulmonary fibrosis, and HERNEXEOS for HER2-mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer, was strongest in the U.S. and also gained traction in China and Japan. Boehringer also highlighted positive Phase III data for survodutide and continued expansion of its late-stage pipeline, including three new Phase III oncology trials, while Animal Health posted a 0.4% increase amid a modestly growing market and softer veterinary visits in several countries.
