The latest Auto-Burn removed 1,615,827.795 BNB from circulation, leaving about 133.17 million tokens outstanding as the network continues its plan to cut supply to 100 million.
BNB Chain said it completed its 36th quarterly BNB burn, removing 1,615,827.795 BNB from circulation worth about $931.7 million at the time and leaving the remaining supply at about 133.17 million. The burn was carried out directly on BNB Smart Chain, marking a procedural shift following the BNB Chain Fusion process, with the tokens sent to the 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD blackhole address for permanent removal. The burn was executed through BNB’s Auto-Burn mechanism, which the network says operates independently of Binance’s centralized exchange and is intended to reduce total supply from 200 million BNB to 100 million over time. BNB Chain also said it adjusted the Auto-Burn formula after the Lorentz, Maxwell and Fermi upgrades increased block production speed, while maintaining the original design of the system. The latest burn was larger than the previous quarterly burn on April 15, 2026, which destroyed 1,569,307.34 BNB valued at about $1.02 billion, and the network said future quarterly burns will also take place directly on BSC. Separately, BNB Chain said around 291,000 BNB has been removed through BEP-95, which burns part of gas fees in real time.
