Yorkville Ives & Co. is positioning itself as a modern merchant bank focused on AI-driven demand across technology, energy and finance, combining research, advisory, capital raising and institutional trading.
Dan Ives has launched Yorkville Ives & Co., a new merchant banking venture with Yorkville Securities aimed at artificial intelligence-related opportunities across technology, energy and financial sectors. Ives officially left Wedbush Securities on July 1 and unveiled the firm on July 15 after more than 25 years covering technology stocks and building a public profile around bullish AI calls. The firm says it will combine proprietary equity research, strategic advisory, capital raising, institutional trading and principal investing under one roof, seeking to offer institutional clients a more integrated approach than traditional banks that separate those functions. Yorkville Ives plans to provide debt and equity capital raising in public and private markets, mergers and acquisitions advice, capital structure guidance, execution services and independent research. No funding amounts or client names have been disclosed. Ives also helped create the Dan IVES Wedbush AI Revolution ETF, which trades under the ticker IVES and launched in 2025. While some initial reporting linked the venture to a Trump family-linked securities group, deeper reporting cited in the new account did not document any formal association between Yorkville Ives & Co. and Trump family entities. The launch comes as Wall Street firms compete for business tied to AI infrastructure, including data centers and computing capacity, with potential spillover into energy and digital-asset-adjacent markets where Bitcoin miners have been shifting power infrastructure toward AI compute hosting.
