The Bitcoin mining machine maker received an additional 180-day compliance period after its ADS stayed below $1 for 30 consecutive trading days and its shares continued trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
Canaan said Nasdaq granted it an additional 180-day period, through January 11, 2027, to regain compliance with the exchange's $1 minimum bid price requirement after its ADS closed below that level for 30 straight trading days. The Bitcoin mining machine maker had received its initial non-compliance notice on January 14, 2026, and that first 180-day window expired on July 13. Its ADS continue trading under the ticker CAN on the Nasdaq Capital Market after transferring from the Nasdaq Global Market on July 1. Canaan's shares closed at $0.29, while first-quarter 2026 revenue fell 24.3% year over year to $62.7 million and net loss widened to $88.7 million, underscoring the operating pressure alongside the listing challenge.
