The July 16 launch of tokenized Robinhood shares on Solana expands Backpack and Sunrise's 24/7 equities push as the chain's tokenized stock market reaches record value and dominant global volume.
Backpack Exchange listed HOODx, a tokenized version of Robinhood Markets stock, on Solana on July 16 through Backpack Securities, with trading live across Jupiter, Raydium, Meteora and Orca. The asset traded at $102-$115 in line with Robinhood's Nasdaq price, while Solana Foundation posts and market data highlighted a broader surge in tokenized equities: Solana recorded $10 billion in tokenized stock volume in June, about 95% of global on-chain equity trading, and tokenized equity value on the chain reached a record $535 million on July 16. The listing uses Sunrise, a Wormhole Labs-built gateway that brings external assets onto Solana as native SPL tokens, with conversion back to conventional equity holdings handled through ACATS and DTCC settlement channels. The move extends a fast-growing Solana tokenized-equity market that earlier drew attention when tokenized RoboStrategy volume on a Sunday exceeded trading in Nasdaq-listed BOT the following Monday, underscoring the appeal of 24/7 on-chain markets relative to traditional exchange hours.
