The move takes the company to Ohio’s legal dispensary cap and lifts its total network to 34 branded stores across five states, with in-state production aimed at retail and wholesale growth.
Greenlight said it has expanded in Ohio by adding four dispensaries and in-state manufacturing capabilities, bringing its portfolio there to eight dispensaries, the maximum allowed under Ohio law. The company said the buildout includes two newly developed Greenlight stores, two existing dispensaries rebranded under Greenlight, and added manufacturing capacity to support its retail business and future wholesale expansion across the state. With the Ohio additions, Greenlight said it now operates 34 branded dispensaries across five states and employs more than 550 team members. Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer John Mueller said the company views Ohio as a limited-license cannabis market with strong long-term growth potential and said the new manufacturing capacity should deepen vertical integration (ownership across production and retail), improve supply-chain control and support more Greenlight-branded products. The company also said increased enforcement against unlicensed intoxicating hemp products and illicit cannabis operators could strengthen the position of state-licensed cannabis businesses.
