The Nicholas Bonito Scholarship for Entrepreneurs has opened applications for a one-time $1,000 award for eligible undergraduate students across the United States. Founded by Nicholas Bonito, the program is aimed at students who demonstrate entrepreneurial vision, initiative, critical thinking and a commitment to building solutions that create meaningful value. Applicants must submit an original 500- to 800-word essay responding to a prompt about identifying a problem, need or opportunity that inspires them to pursue entrepreneurship, how they would develop a solution and the impact they hope to create. The scholarship committee will assess submissions based on originality, clarity of thought, creativity and the applicant’s ability to present a practical entrepreneurial vision. Applications are due March 15, 2027, and the recipient will be announced on April 15, 2027. Students must submit a single email application including their full name and contact information, the name of their current college or university, proof of undergraduate enrollment and the essay. Completed applications should be sent to [email protected]. The program says it was established to promote qualities associated with entrepreneurship, including perseverance, curiosity, adaptability and disciplined execution. Nicholas Bonito is described as an entrepreneur, independent researcher and business professional with experience in business operations, project execution, customer service and problem-solving.
