Rapidus is integrating Cadence’s InnoStack AI Super Agent into its AI-Agentic Design Solution and adding new Raads tools as it seeks to shorten advanced-node chip design cycles.
Cadence and Rapidus Corporation said they are collaborating on agentic AI for advanced-node system-on-chip design, with Rapidus integrating the Cadence InnoStack AI Super Agent into its Rapidus AI-Agentic Design Solution, or Raads. The companies said the effort is aimed at improving productivity, accelerating time to market and enhancing design quality across the SoC design lifecycle, with Rapidus targeting up to a 2X improvement in design turnaround time over traditional flows. As part of the collaboration, Rapidus is expanding its Raads lineup with Raads Navigator and Raads Indicator, which it said are designed to strengthen quality assurance and help engineers resolve design issues. The new tools have been integrated with the InnoStack AI Super Agent to automate and coordinate key SoC workflows from early architecture work through implementation and signoff. The tie-up reflects a broader push to use AI agents not just for isolated design tasks but to orchestrate increasingly complex semiconductor workflows across design and manufacturing. Cadence said the collaboration extends agentic AI into a leading-edge semiconductor ecosystem, while Rapidus said the integration supports its effort to build an AI-native foundry environment and to reduce design turnaround times on its advanced nodes. The companies said they will discuss the partnership at CadenceLIVE Japan 2026, where Dr. Atsuyoshi Koike, representative director and CEO of Rapidus, is scheduled to deliver a keynote on using Cadence agentic AI and electronic design automation tools to improve efficiency and quality in advanced-node SoC development.
