The SpaceX-linked USDⓈ-M contract will be Binance’s first equity perpetual settled in USD1, widening the stablecoin’s role from crypto contracts into stock-referenced derivatives.
Binance said it will launch the SPCXUSD1 perpetual contract on July 20, 2026 at 09:00 UTC, adding a SpaceX-linked product that will be the exchange’s first equity perpetual settled in USD1. The USDⓈ-M contract is tied to Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: SPCX), will offer maximum leverage of 25x and marks an expansion of Binance’s use of USD1 beyond crypto-linked futures. The contract will have a 0.01 tick size, a minimum trade amount of 0.01 SPCX and a minimum notional value of 5 USD1. Binance set the capped funding rate at +1.00% and -1.00%, with funding fees settled every eight hours, an interest rate of the funding rate at 0%, 24/7 trading and Multi-Assets Mode support. Binance also said the contract is exempt from its 8.1 Adjustment of Funding Interval rules and may have specifications revised over time based on market risk conditions. Binance already offers stock-linked perpetuals tied to names such as Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, SK Hynix and Wendy’s that settle in USDT. It launched BTCUSD1 on May 18 as its first perpetual using USD1 as the trading and settlement asset, followed by ETHUSD1 on July 3. Before that, USD1 had mainly been used on Binance as collateral to borrow USDT rather than to settle positions directly. USD1 is issued by World Liberty Financial, the digital-asset venture co-founded by President Donald Trump and his sons. The stablecoin has grown to roughly $5 billion in market capitalization, and Forbes reported Binance holds about 87% of all USD1 in circulation across its wallets and user accounts. The new listing also extends Binance’s broader push into traditional-asset-linked derivatives, where traders gain price exposure without owning the underlying shares, voting rights or dividends.
