Ether outpaced Bitcoin and major altcoins as U.S. spot ether ETFs drew fresh inflows, led by BlackRock’s ETHA, while Robinhood Chain added a new source of Ethereum-linked trading activity.
Ether traded near $1,920 on July 16, up 2.2% on the day and about 11% over the past seven trading sessions, making it the only major cryptocurrency to post clear gains this week. Bitcoin traded at $64,600, down 0.3% on the day and up 4.2% for the week, while most large altcoins lagged. U.S. spot Ether ETFs pulled in $96 million over the first three trading days of the week, already ahead of last week’s $84 million, with BlackRock’s ETHA taking the bulk of Wednesday’s inflows. Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 network running on Ethereum that began operating on July 1, is also handling more than $800 million in daily decentralized exchange volume, adding a new source of Ethereum-linked activity. By contrast, spot Bitcoin ETF flows remained volatile, with large outflows followed by a quick rebound, underscoring less stable demand.
